Millions of children and over ten million citizens in the United States have a loved one or immediate family member in prison. Our country incarcerates more citizens than any other country globally, with mass incarceration disproportionately affecting minorities and those in lower-income areas. Many of those incarcerated do not have sufficient resources to obtain legal help and guidance throughout their sentence.
